Local franchisee Ryan Delman is opening his 13th Jersey Mike’s location in the Charleston area. The 1,500 sq ft shop will be located in a newly built 4,000 sq ft commercial property at 1640 Remount Rd. Delman has been franchising Jersey Mike’s for 29 years.
Mountain Creek Appalachian Cuisine Restaurant
Upscale Appalachian cuisine restaurant opening at Pipestem Resort State Park’s Mountain Creek Lodge, located at the bottom of Bluestone Gorge. Accessible only by aerial tramway. Menu features locally sourced Appalachian staples including crawdad fritters, sumac-rubbed ribeye, and buttermilk-poached walleye pike. Weekend brunch with rotating menu also planned.

Bobby’s Bagel Café
Bobby’s Bagel Café, a locally owned quick-service restaurant known for handcrafted bagels, breakfast sandwiches, deli-style lunches, pastries and catering, has signed a 2,000 sq ft retail lease at Loudoun Station (43800 Central Station Drive) adjacent to Ashburn Station on Metro’s Silver Line. First-ever Buffalo Wild Wings location in Altoona, PA. Currently under construction behind the Holiday Inn Express next to the AMC Theatre Complex. Official opening date unknown. Expected to bring several jobs to the area.
Sonic Drive-In
Sonic Drive-In returning to Fort Wayne after more than a decade away. Franchise owner Alex Richardson is opening the Summit City location at 4615 Bass Road. Grand opening set for September 22, 2026, 10am-8pm. A Community Give Back Day is planned for September 18 with free meals for military, first responders, and teachers.
