Luke’s Lobster

Luke’s Lobster will open at Portland International Jetport as part of a restaurant overhaul, replacing existing dining options. Part of a 10-year concession contract with multiple restaurants opening in phases over 17 months.

Northern Maine Kolache Co.

Northern Maine Kolache Co. is expanding to a new location with drive-thru pickup window for online orders. The new spot is built from the ground up with commercial kitchen and will also offer nationwide shipping. Grand opening planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Home2 Suites by Hilton

83-suite extended-stay hotel with 16 one-bedrooms and 67 studios, featuring kitchenettes, workspace, sofa beds. Amenities include indoor pool, fitness center, outdoor patio with fire pits, complimentary breakfast, and Home2 Market. Owned by Witham Family Hotels.

Evalina Hotel

Luxury boutique hotel with 15 all-suite accommodations (5 one-bedroom and 10 two-bedroom suites) in a renovated 1854 Granite Block Building in Historic Old Port district. Features historic preservation with modern amenities, private decks, and arched windows overlooking Commercial Street and waterfront.

The Velvet Dog

75-seat bar and restaurant serving small plates, salads, and main dishes like fried chicken and waffles. Chef Matt Burns is making light renovations to the space.

Rasa Indian Cuisine

Indian restaurant opening in downtown Bangor after construction delays. Will serve lunch buffet and dinner, featuring South Indian cuisine including dosas, biryani and fresh naan. Will have full bar with cocktails and beer including Sai Lager.

Arby’s

Arby’s returning to Bangor location where it previously operated from 1983-2015. Planning board approved permit for renovations including drive-thru. Owner also operates Buffalo Wild Wings in Augusta.

Makoto

Japanese grill and sushi restaurant by Yosaku owners, featuring wood-fired dishes and seasonally driven menu. Construction nearly completed with intimate and interactive service model planned.

Ladyfish

Summer pop-up seafood restaurant by Jordan and Marisa Rubin, taking over former Bar Futo space. Will run May through October focusing on local Maine seafood. Kitchen led by chef Christine Lau, formerly of James Beard semifinalist Kimika.
