Half Moon Bay Brewing Company

Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is opening a second location in downtown Half Moon Bay. The new restaurant will focus on farm and ranch-based menu rather than seafood, occupying a historic 1906 building that formerly housed Sacrilege Brewery + Kitchen.

Benihana planning Bay Area expansion with 10 new locations over 7 years. Two full-service locations confirmed for 2026: one in Emeryville at former Chevy’s waterfront space and another in San Jose. Part of The ONE Group’s expansion strategy following successful San Mateo opening.

Izzy and Wooks

Filipino and American burger restaurant opening in Saluhall food hall, specializing in fried chicken sandwiches including tamarind, hot scorpion, and mochiko varieties. Grand opening planned for January 29.

Super Duper Burger chain taking over restaurant kiosk space in Union Square Park with 5-year lease. Will serve burgers made from Brandt Beef, free-range chicken sandwiches, organic veggie burgers, and items made with Straus Family Creamery ice cream.

Teni East Kitchen

Burmese restaurant moving to larger location with double the kitchen space and 30-40 more seats including outdoor patio. Will add new dishes like steamed seafood and a new bar program.

Super Duper Burgers

Super Duper Burgers selected to operate cafe on east side of Union Square. Five-year lease with two five-year extension options. Space includes outdoor seating and below-ground food storage facilities. Will be the 19th Super Duper Burgers location in Bay Area.

Restaurant and piano lounge at the Huntington Hotel on Nob Hill reopening after renovation with makeover by designer Ken Fulk, coinciding with the hotel’s 100th anniversary

De Caché

High-end lounge opening in upstairs level of Victorian building, featuring luxe interior and classic cocktails with Mexican twist. Private reception Jan 17, then open to public 8pm-1am initially Fridays and Saturdays.

The Breakfast Club at Midtown

Bay Area-based breakfast chain expanding to Folsom location in former Five Guys space. Known for creative American breakfast and lunch offerings including Chicken Apple Omelette, Corned Beef Hash, and Bacon Cheese Burger.

Midtown Live

Bar-and-restaurant concept with live music, food, and full bar in former Goldfield Trading Post space. 13,000-square-foot venue by Kash Hospitality Group. Lease already signed but no official opening timeline announced.
