The franchisees also operate Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations in Clermont and Orlando. The cafe will offer smoothies, bowls, and light bites.

Sushi Masa, an all-you-can-eat Japanese sushi and hibachi chain with 13 locations nationwide and 3 in Florida (Lakeland, Tampa, Pensacola), has signed a lease for a 6,723 sq ft freestanding restaurant in Cape Coral. The space was previously occupied by Texas Tony’s Rib & Brewhouse. No opening date announced.

Church’s Texas Chicken purchased 50,000 sq ft of commercial land at 2815 First St. E. in Bradenton for $975,000 to build its first Manatee County location. The site is between O’Reilly Auto Parts and Circle K, across from Firkins Automotive Group. No construction or opening date has been announced.
