Teen sues TGI Friday's, claiming employee who raped her was registered sex offender Print

Chron.com - A young woman is suing TGI Friday's Inc. for negligence, claiming she asked to use a phone and ended up being raped by a Webster restaurant employee who was a registered sex offender.

According to the lawsuit filed Monday in Harris County Civil District Court, the woman known as Jane Doe was 17 at the time of the incident on May 20, 2011.

The employee pleaded guilty to felony sexual assault on July 13, 2012, and is now in prison, according to the plaintiff's petition filed by attorney Rusty Hardin. Continue

Lakenewsonline - A Sunrise Beach man is taking a lakefront restaurant and bar to court, filing a lawsuit in Camden County Circuit Court April 1 for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction along with a petition for preliminary and permanent injunctions, to stop outdoor music at the business.

Developer Lon Tabatchnick told commissioners he could not meet the city's April 10 deadline to take possession of the city-owned parcel. Hollywood commissioners gave him a new deadline: July 5.

Tabatchnick plans to build the 17-story Margaritaville resort on 5 acres near Johnson Street and the Broadwalk. He plans to lease the land for 99 years, paying Hollywood $1 million in the first year alone. Continue
