A popular Mexican food restaurant chain is being sued after waitresses at a Hawaii branch claimed the CEO and high level managers sexually harassed them and demanded sex.
Staff at the Senor Frog's bar and restaurant in Waikiki, which closed down in August, allege that male managers groped female workers' breasts and buttocks and demanded sex from them. Continue

NYPD Pizzeria plans National Expansion! |

Orlando Sentinel - Orlando-based NYPD Pizzeria is making plans to go nationwide.
NYPD has entered into a joint venture with Beautiful Brands International, a franchising company that wants to take the restaurant chain across the United States and even overseas.
The pizza franchise will offer two store models: a 900-square-foot delivery, take-out unit and a larger version starting at 1,800 square feet for full or quick service, take-out and delivery. Both options offer catering and full menus, with the possibility of a full bar or game room depending on demographics.
NYPD has seven stores, mostly in Central Florida. It also has one in Arkansas.

Broadcast Music, Inc. has sued hundreds of establishments across the country, including bars and restaurants in southwest Ohio, for playing BMI-licensed songs without a proper license. A Dayton Daily News search of civil court records shows that BMI Inc. — one of three main protective-rights organizations — usually settles out of court or gets a summary judgement and, in either case, collects thousands of dollars per violated song. Sandy left mixed effects on Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Though we did not get the Frankenstorm that hit New York City, Sandy did not completely spare all of Florida. Some restaurants saw major flooding and missed out on business for a day or three. One oceanfront restaurant had fish and crabs washing up on the door. And at least one beachfront eatery got extra business, thanks to people eager to come look at the storm. Continue |
