This bill which would have reduced tipped employees wages from $4.65 to $2.13 has been table do to lack of time. My guess is that no legislaturer want to tackle this no win issue. Even with the help of the lobbing efforts of the FLorida Restaurant and Lodging association the bill seems to be put back on the shelf for another session next year. Continue.

The employees charge that the company violated the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and Civil Rights Act, as well as state wage and hour laws. Violations included failing to pay tipped employees minimum wage, failure to pay employees for all hours worked, failure to pay for overtime hours worked and discrimination against minority employees with regard to promotions. continue
