Franchisee Fee Waived for Veterans at Baskin Robbins! Print

Ice cream franchise Baskin-Robbins said Wednesday that it is waiving the initial franchisee fee of $25,000 for veterans in Florida who qualify for franchise ownership.

For a limited time, the program is being offered to qualified veterans interested in purchasing Baskin-Robbins restaurants.

“As tens of thousands of service men and women return from deployment, expanded opportunities are needed to ensure veterans and their families can transition into the civilian economy,” said Bill Mitchell, chief brand officer for Baskin-Robbins who served in the U.S. Army.

Baskin-Robbins is seeking candidates to expand its footprint in Florida, California and other selected markets.

Candidates should possess a strong financial background with a minimum liquidity of $125,000 and a minimum net worth of $250,000.

Seventeen months after Bubba Burger launched its first Bubba Burger Grill in Jacksonville, the last of four restaurants has closed.

In late October, Bubba Burger Grill’s lone remaining location at 5149 Normandy Blvd. closed, its signage removed and interior stripped bare. It’s the second Bubba Burger to close in as many months, signaling the end of Bubba Burger’s plans to launch a regional — or national — chain built on Bubba Burger’s household name and frozen burgers.
