Wine by the Keg coming to Florida! |

Orlandosentinel.com - This summer, wine enthusiasts could notice lower prices and more choices when they turn to the by-the-glass list at their favorite restaurants. All it will take is the Florida Senate to pass the companion bill that already has sailed through the House allowing wine to be sold in kegs to restaurants.
Florida and Utah are the only states that bar the stainless-steel kegs, which dispense the equivalent of about 26 bottles of wine — or roughly 130 glasses. The process is used by some of the top wineries, including Bonny Doon, Au Bon Climat and Gallo.
Whether it's the Darden chains or bistros such as K Restaurant Wine Bar in College Park, restaurateurs are waiting to see what happens. Continue
