Deployed Army Pilot surprises family dressed as Red Robin employee! |

PLAINFIELD, Ind. (WISH) - An Army pilot returning from Afghanistan surprised his family Sunday night when he dressed up like a Red Robin employee and approached their table. A Red Robin restaurant, located at 365 South Perry Road in Plainfield, received a call that a pilot was returning home and his family had no idea. Army Black Hawk Pilot Kyle Braun had been serving in Afghanistan and just recently learning he’d be able to come home for the holidays.He has not been home in over a year.
The family was meeting at the Red Robin for dinner shortly after 6 p.m. Braun dressed like an employee of the restaurant, approached the table and surprised them.

Charlotte Observer - There's a huge backlash against a Mooresville cafe after the owner allegedly told local police officers they weren't welcome to dine.
Now, the cafe is now trying to make amends. The owner of the establishment Isy Bell's cafe apologized to the detectives on Thursday morning. Continue

National Restaurant Association - The casual-dining Umami Burger chain’s first step outside California will likely be an outpost in Miami, and a new fast-casual variant called U Mini is also being tested in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles-based better burger chain said this week that Umami SOBE, or South Beach, is scheduled to open in the spring of 2013 — before the Umami Burger location planned for New York City, which was announced earlier this year. Continue |
